Strong courts need Judges who are connected to and trusted by the community they serve. With nearly 15 years of experience at the Stow Municipal Court, Amber is the only candidate elected by the voters to serve the municipal Court; currently as the Clerk of Courts (elected in 2019 & 2021) and previously as Stow’s Law Director and Chief Prosecutor (elected in 2015). Amber is the only candidate with over a decade of experience leading teams and managing budgets in the public sector. Amber is certified in Lean Government Management and is currently completing her Certified Court Manager (CCM) accreditation through the Ohio Supreme Court. She’s prepared to bring professional, proven strategies to improve the Court’s service and efficiency.

Amber is the only candidate whose leadership and contributions to the greater Akron region have been recognized by her peers in the legal community and larger professional associations. In 2025, Amber was awarded the “Chairperson of the Year Award” for her work in leading the Akron Bar Association’s Access to Justice Committee. Amber was also one of a select few young professionals to win the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce’s “30 for the Future Award” in 2021.

Amber is the only candidate with full-time prosecutor experience. As a former Chief Prosecutor at the Court, Amber oversaw the prosecution of thousands of criminal and traffic cases. Amber has the necessary knowledge and experience to preside over the Court’s most serious cases and can be trusted to keep our community safe.

As Stow’s Law Director, Amber sat first chair in multi-day jury trials, argued cases on appeal, and defended the City and its officers in federal court. Amber has the relevant courtroom experience to preside over the Court’s diverse docket and ensure all legal proceedings are conducted fairly, impartially, and pursuant to the rule of law.

Amber believes our communities are safer when our courts work to address the underlying causes of crime. That’s why Amber plans to create and preside over the Court’s first specialized Drug and Multiple OVI Offender Court to help eligible offenders break the cycle of addiction for good. Research shows successful drug court graduates are less likely to reoffend and more likely to positively contribute to their community, making our community safer and stronger.

Amber's dedication to public safety has led to her appointment on various criminal justice boards, including the Facilities Governing Board for Summit County’s CBCFs and the Advisory Board for Oriana House. She is also a former member of the Summit County Criminal Justice Advisory Board and a Past President of the Northeast Ohio Law Director’s Association.
